The National
Martial Arts Committee (NMAC), India, has signed a historic Memorandum
of Understanding (MoU) with internationally recognized actor,
martial artist, and youth icon Mr. Vidyut Jamwal to promote
martial arts education, youth empowerment, and self-defense awareness across
India.
The agreement was formally
signed by Master Bhupender Kumar Bharat, Head Trustee of NMAC,
and Mr. Vidyut Jamwal, marking a significant step toward
strengthening martial arts culture and physical education initiatives in the
country.
Strengthening Martial Arts and Youth Development
The MoU aims to establish a
collaborative framework to promote martial arts education, health,
sports development, and youth leadership programs aligned with
national development and global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Both parties will work together
to encourage youth participation in sports, promote discipline and physical
fitness, and strengthen the role of martial arts in education and community
development.
National Martial Arts Day – 10 December
One of the key initiatives
under this collaboration is the nationwide celebration of “National
Martial Arts Day” on 10 December each year. The day will be marked
through martial arts demonstrations, educational programs, public awareness
campaigns, and national-level events promoting self-defense and physical
culture.
Joint Programs and Events
Under the agreement, NMAC and
Mr. Vidyut Jamwal will collaborate on several initiatives, including:

Organization
of National Martial Arts Awards and National Martial Arts Games
·
National
and international seminars, workshops, and exhibitions
·
Development
of martial arts training and education programs
·
Public
awareness campaigns on self-defense and youth empowerment
·
Research,
publications, and knowledge exchange in martial arts and sports education
The MoU also allows NMAC to
use Mr. Vidyut Jamwal’s name and image for non-commercial
educational and public welfare initiatives related to martial
arts promotion.
Implementation Framework
A Joint Working
Group (JWG) will be formed to oversee the implementation of the
initiatives and to develop strategic programs for national and international
outreach.
The agreement will remain in
force for ten years, with the possibility of renewal by
mutual consent.
Vision for the Future
Speaking on the occasion, Master
Bhupender Kumar Bharat expressed that this partnership will play
a vital role in promoting martial arts as a powerful tool for discipline,
confidence, youth empowerment, and national development.
The collaboration reflects a
shared vision to create a strong martial arts ecosystem in India,
encouraging millions of young people to adopt martial arts as a way of life.
