The National Martial Arts Committee (NMAC), India, has signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with internationally recognized actor, martial artist, and youth icon Mr. Vidyut Jamwal to promote martial arts education, youth empowerment, and self-defense awareness across India.

The agreement was formally signed by Master Bhupender Kumar Bharat, Head Trustee of NMAC, and Mr. Vidyut Jamwal, marking a significant step toward strengthening martial arts culture and physical education initiatives in the country.

Strengthening Martial Arts and Youth Development

The MoU aims to establish a collaborative framework to promote martial arts education, health, sports development, and youth leadership programs aligned with national development and global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Both parties will work together to encourage youth participation in sports, promote discipline and physical fitness, and strengthen the role of martial arts in education and community development.

National Martial Arts Day – 10 December

One of the key initiatives under this collaboration is the nationwide celebration of “National Martial Arts Day” on 10 December each year. The day will be marked through martial arts demonstrations, educational programs, public awareness campaigns, and national-level events promoting self-defense and physical culture.

Joint Programs and Events

Under the agreement, NMAC and Mr. Vidyut Jamwal will collaborate on several initiatives, including:

·        Organization of National Martial Arts Awards and National Martial Arts Games

·        National and international seminars, workshops, and exhibitions

·        Development of martial arts training and education programs

·        Public awareness campaigns on self-defense and youth empowerment

·        Research, publications, and knowledge exchange in martial arts and sports education

The MoU also allows NMAC to use Mr. Vidyut Jamwal’s name and image for non-commercial educational and public welfare initiatives related to martial arts promotion.

Implementation Framework

Joint Working Group (JWG) will be formed to oversee the implementation of the initiatives and to develop strategic programs for national and international outreach.

The agreement will remain in force for ten years, with the possibility of renewal by mutual consent.

Vision for the Future

Speaking on the occasion, Master Bhupender Kumar Bharat expressed that this partnership will play a vital role in promoting martial arts as a powerful tool for discipline, confidence, youth empowerment, and national development.

The collaboration reflects a shared vision to create a strong martial arts ecosystem in India, encouraging millions of young people to adopt martial arts as a way of life.
